The Zeppelin New Captains Line 8622-3 is an automatic mens watch with a regulator display. The blue dial shows a sunburst finish that becomes lighter from the centre outwards. The time is read using the classic regulator principle: the central minute hand runs across the large outer scale with white five-minute markers, while the hours appear in a separate sub-dial above the centre. The word regulator sits beneath the upper display, giving the Zeppelin New Captains a clear and legible structure.

Inside works an automatic movement with 40 hours of power reserve. A small seconds sub-dial sits at the lower part of the dial with the scale 60, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50. A date window near the 3 oclock position shows the current date. The case is made of polished stainless steel and is water resistant to 50 metres. The dial is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass. The fluted crown on the right side is used for winding and setting. The Zeppelin logo with its Z emblem appears on the left of the dial, and Made in Germany is printed at the bottom edge. The Zeppelin New Captains Line 8622-3 carries the reference 8622-3.

The brown leather strap is finished with contrasting stitching and is adjustable via a pin buckle. The slim polished hands stand out well against the dark dial and ensure clear legibility at any time of day.
